Abdul Jabbar Gul's Portfolio
Abdul Jabbar Gul grew up in Mirpur Khas, a remote area in Pakistan that does not have any conventional art activities association with larger towns. Yet, he remembers on his way to school seeing a sign painter that used to work in calligraphy and make portraits. Watching him at work motivated Gul to attempt calligraphy and make sketches.
Later, he joined National College of Arts, Lahore to complete his studies from Ceramics to Print Making as well along with Sculpture. He is currently teaching at Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture. He has had two solo shows, over 7 group exhibitions and has been interviewed no. of times by National Television of Pakistan.
