What is Erudition Online?

EO or Erudition Online is a non-profit International  e-zine monthly, on three core subjects: Art & Culture, Science & Technology and Internet & World Wide Web.

What is EO's Mission Statement?

Erudition Online's goal is to provide cross-cultural content that's purposeful and meaningful for the above mentioned areas of our focus to as wider international community as possible. We welcome writers and contributors from all over the world, but due to some restraints the content still has to be in English.

What does Erudition mean?

Erudition means learned, scholarly or extensive knowledge etc. "Online" simply differentiates itself from other physical Publications.

Who is behind Erudition Online?

Ejaz Asi is  the founder and chief architect of EO. He did most of the designing and content collection and collaboration with contributors as well as conceiving the original navigational systems until he was joined by Hina and Hala.

Most of the editorial process is then handled by Hina Amaan and each issue's themes and interviews are done by Hala Bashir.  Then come the valuable authors and contributors without whom the layouts, concepts, CSS files would have been mere practice ground. And surely, like all good and great web sites, the users from varied fields of life are the driving force of life and energy for Erudition Online.

Why doesn't your web site look same in all browsers?

In fact, in all modern browsers, who support Web Standards, it should look same. However, Lack of support of Web Standards in our browsers has already been addressed by Zeldman at AlistApart like many standards purists. Since start of this e zine, all code has been "search engine friendly" and backed by the recommendations of World Wide Web Consortium guys. This site is accessible to "EveryOne" with an Internet connection, yet if your browser may not support Web Standards, for heaven's sake, Upgrade your browser - it's 2004 here.
